Job Title: Curriculum Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Curriculum Developer with a proven track record in designing coaching programs. As a Curriculum Developer, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop the framework and structure of a comprehensive training program aimed at teaching the fundamentals of Coaching to senior-level individual contributors. This program aims to transition participants from players to player coaches. You will work in collaboration with a Copywriter and Editor, who will be responsible for course content creation, review, oversight, and editorial.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design and Framework:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and leverage insights gained during the discovery phase to understand the program's goals and objectives.
  • Develop a comprehensive curriculum framework that clearly outlines the structure and sequence of the training program.
  • Define the specific learning outcomes, core concepts, and key milestones for the program.

Content Guidance:

  • Work in tandem with the Copywriter to provide detailed content guidelines and expectations.
  • Clearly communicate the learning objectives, topics, and subtopics to be covered within each module.
  • Ensure that the content aligns with the curriculum framework and objectives.

Online and In-Person Learning Modules:

  • For self-paced online learning modules, outline the structure of each module, including the organization of content, assessments, and interactive elements.
  • For in-person instructor-led sessions, design a structured plan that outlines the sequence of activities, discussions, and hands-on exercises to engage participants effectively.

Curriculum Review and Enhancement:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum framework.
  • Incorporate relevant updates into the curriculum framework as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Copywriter and editor to incorporate feedback and enhancements based on trainer and participant experiences.

The point of this project is to create training modules/a program that focus on the fundamental aspects of coaching, such as defining the coaching role, clarifying coaching responsibilities and expectations, and identifying what success means in the context of coaching. The project aims to prioritize the development of content modules and intends to use an accessible and easily updatable learning platform like WordPress to facilitate the review of these training materials. In essence, the project's objective is to enhance coaching skills and knowledge within the team by providing structured training resources.

The team's discussion revealed an interest in developing training modules centered around coaching fundamentals. This includes modules that cover defining the coaching role, clarifying coaching responsibilities and expectations, and outlining the criteria for success as a coach. Their initial priority is to create content modules, with a focus on training materials rather than reinforcement strategies at the moment (The reinforcement piece will come at a later point). Additionally, they are keen on utilizing an easily updatable learning platform like WordPress to streamline the content review process.
