The Digital Marketing Analyst plays a key role in supporting both the agency’s paid advertising efforts and data analytics needs. This position serves as the resident expert in these two areas and assists internal teams to provide clients with solutions. Because of our growing agency and strategy department, this role is expected to have tasks and deliverables at all levels, from execution to strategic team leadership.

Responsibilities

Executional -

● Manage paid campaign set up and optimizations

● Create estimates on time, budget, audience, and targeting and assist with proposals as needed

● Present on best practices

Data-driven -

● Establish metrics to monitor progress of campaigns and other related metrics/KPIs

● Prepare and submit performance reports utilizing dashboarding systems

● Deep dive into various data sources, such as paid media results, digital asset management systems, and internal programs, to identify gaps and trends

Analytical -

● Offer insights on trends, correlations, and forecasts across campaigns, data sources, and digital

marketing topics

● Translate results and data into clear and understandable formats such as graphs and decks

● Devise and assess procedures to fill gaps, streamline data capture, and improve data integrity

Strategic -

● Evaluate client goals and use data across all related channels to design and implement search

and data strategies

● Collaborate across teams to produce high-quality deliverables that accomplish strategic goals

● See beyond the ask to provide solutions or offer alternatives that better accomplish goals

Forward-thinking -

● Generate innovative points of view and ideas that broaden department offerings and agency

thought leadership

● Test and develop new marketing channels/tactics/partners/certifications

● Sell in additional agency capabilities to department and company leadership

Requirements

● 5-8 years’ experience in paid digital media buying, campaign optimization, and leadership

(Google Search, programmatic, display, retargeting, geo-fencing, social media, etc.)

● Expertise/certifications in Google Analytics and Google Search a must, other certifications a plus

● Creative problem solver who advances solutions

● Work cooperatively across internal teams and with external resources to gather information needed to complete tasks

● Willingness to learn and grow in weaker areas and shows progress and improvement over time

● Manage workload to remain billable a majority of the time and keep all projects moving forward

● Understand the growing nature of the agency and department by assisting on and completing projects at all levels

● Report to and supports the departmental direction of the Director of Strategy & Analytics
