Creatives On Call is hiring a highly skilled Technical Writer to support a technology client! This role will involve revolutionizing the  onboarding and career development for training materials with an aim to empower customers to acquire the essential skills they need. We're on the lookout for an individual to spearhead the creation, enhancement, and curation of content for various products. In this exhilarating role, you'll be at the forefront of crafting new content, fine-tuning existing content, integrating content strategy and playing a pivotal role in shaping a strategic roadmap for the future. Beyond this, you may also have the opportunity to produce various other content types, including videos, support materials, and more. This 100% remote freelance opportunity will be about 4 months in length.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation Expertise: You possess a proven track record of crafting learning materials that transform complex concepts into engaging content, appealing to diverse audiences, including developers. This experience may stem from roles as a technical writer, curriculum developer, or other relevant backgrounds.

• Professional Experience: You bring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a content creator or curriculum developer, substantiated by a portfolio of your work.

• Collaborative Approach: You understand that writing goes beyond eloquent prose; it involves collaborating with subject matter experts across the organization to distill their knowledge into compelling learning content.

• Adaptive Attitude: You are open to embracing our team's voice, tone, style, processes, and practices while also offering constructive suggestions for improvement.

Requirements

• Curriculum Development: You have over 3 years of experience in curriculum development, training, professional writing, or equivalent software development roles, demonstrating an ability to convey information concisely.

• Technical Documentation: You possess over 3 years of experience in documenting enterprise software for technical audiences.

• Experience using Oxygen Editor XML

• Effective Communication: You can write clear, concise, and approachable content.

• Rapid Learning: You quickly grasp complex technologies and can effectively convey them to others.

• Deadline Management: You can manage multiple deliverables within tight timelines.

• Team Collaboration: You excel as a team player and communicate effectively.

• Data Management: You have a solid understanding of data management concepts.

• API Knowledge: You are familiar with APIs, ideally in creating API documentation.

• Data Visualization: You have experience with and a passion for data visualization and analytics.

• Developer Documentation: You've worked on developer documentation projects.

• Source Control: You have experience with source control software like Perforce or Git
