HIRING // Director of Marketing

Seeking a Director of Marketing with both tactile and digital marketing expertise who is able to develop and lead a large medical device company's strategic plan. This St. Louis-based organization has been in business for over 100 years, serving 80 countries and saving thousands of lives along the way. 

This Director of Marketing would be responsible for:

Developing and executing on an overall marketing communications plan that is in line with the company’s business goals.

Defining, developing, and delivering creative services materials in support of corporate messaging through print, online and outbound marketing.

Developing and executing communication strategies and programs that align with strategy and drive business growth.

Leading the implementation of the corporate brand and identity, developing a creative strategy and tools to implement a unified look and feel that reinforces and promotes the unique presence of the company in the marketplace.

Providing overall leadership for the marketing communications process including managing resources (both internally and externally); ensuring consistent and targeted communications; developing new communications tools to ensure overall marketing objectives are met, and the development and management of annual communications budgets.

Developing and managing the planning for all events, trade shows, quarterly meetings, and national sales meetings.


* Develops and executes an overall marketing communications plan that is in line with company’s business goals.

* Ensures alignment and integration of key communication elements, including social media, interactive web/mobile, print, and sales tools in all communication campaigns.

* Manages all corporate marketing activities including; external website, collateral marketing materials, social networking activities, and other external-facing programs as needed.

* Develops marketing campaigns, effectively producing and coordinating all marketing communication tools (brochures, promotional materials, Web, interactive demos, etc.) collateral and promotional materials and development, working with outside agencies to execute.

* Initiates new marketing programs to support sales and/or extend the company brand. 

* Analyzes sales data, market trends, and online analytics to support activities and make recommendations.

* Develops customer-specific promotional activities and communications to providers and customers.

* Develops event marketing strategy (tradeshows, regional conferences, educational events, etc.), and provides an overview of fit for the company (rationale, strategic fit, expected ROI, targeted segments, resources required, costs, etc.).

* Develops trade show and events graphics, online assets in conjunction with web management

* Works with Executive Team to coordinate, organize, plan and implement tradeshow activities and other events. Includes preshow marketing campaigns, programs during shows to increase traffic and post-show campaigns.

* Develops measurement programs/key metrics for all marketing initiatives. Evaluates the ROI of all programs.

* Proactively identifies and recommends ancillary activities for planned events (speaker series, round-table discussions, etc.) that can be leveraged to increase interaction with customers and thought leaders, and provides analys


* Experience in a marketing role with all facets of the marketing communications portfolio including advertising, direct mail, sales promotion, web marketing, trade shows, social media, and public relations. A proven track record in executing marketing programs including analysis for ROI.

* Passion for doing the work, not just managing the work.

* Demonstrated creative “big picture“ and strategic thinker.

* Possesses strong research and analysis and polished presentation skills.

* Maintains timelines and possesses strong project management skills taking ownership of project details and project success.

* Must be a self-starter, be highly organized, and be able to work well with staff at all levels in the organization.

* Self-motivated with high attention to detail and is well organized, flexible and able to multi-task.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a comfort in public speaking.

* Commitment to details and sound sense of graphic design.

* Ability to work with tight deadlines in a team environment and juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Educational Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communications or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

* Experience in the Medical Device industry required.

Computer skills and knowledge of hardware & software required:

* Proficient in Microsoft’s platform of programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Position Demands:

* Travel to trade shows and events will be necessary.
