Our client is seeking an Executive Creative Director for a global content marketing agency located in St. Louis, MO. This person must possess inspiring leadership skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, proven success in the ability to sell concepts, and understand the need to be creative and technical at the same time. This role is new, and will combine first class content design expertise and creativity with commercial acumen and leadership abilities. The ideal individual would be a mix of creative firepower, steadfast leadership, and strategic guide to help the agency grow its talented team and impress its clients with both external agency deliverables and internal brand marketing efforts.
Lead the creative team of 10 junior to senior level team members, ensuring all creative meets brand standards and client expectations.
Regularly collaborate with other company executives on strategy and execution.
Communicate regularly with internal and external C-suite executives, team members, and other departments, presenting creative and contributing to high level strategic discussions.
Create and execute brand standards throughout the company.
Create marketing strategy, both paid and organic, for B2B tech clients. Willing to develop an understanding of clients’ needs and target markets.
Oversee content development including social media, eBooks, infographics (with and without motion), animations and videos.
Be client-facing and accessible on a regular basis. Present work, assess needs and proactively identify/discuss opportunities.
Ensure all processes and guidelines are followed by the creative team. You will be the final gatekeeper for all creative work.
Be knowledgeable and willing to create content if needed.
10 to 15 years of experience with proven creative success, preferable as a Group Creative Director whose focus has been interactive media, brand marketing, and video.
Have a general understanding of the B2B tech space, particularly Silicon Valley and start-ups.
Able to lead the creative operations of the agency while also being the lead of brand marketing content development for both the agency and software client(s).
Experience creating value propositions.
Working knowledge of creative development for content marketing, demand generation.
Good understanding of the creative business, particularly in the content marketing space.
Strategic thinker, ability to see the big picture while paying attention to the details.
Ability to combine creative thinking with technical needs - be technically creative.
Must possess executive level written, verbal and presentation skills and can pitch like a pro!
Understanding of best utilization practices and implementation of social media ad units, LinkedIn, SaaS.
Proficient in the following software: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Office 365.
Ability to concept, direct and edit videos (AfterEffects, Cinema 4D, Premiere and plus).
BA/BS or equivalent working experience.
