We are seeking a skilled and creative Videographer to join our dynamic team. The Videographer will be responsible for capturing and producing high-quality video content that effectively communicates our clients brand message and engages their target audience. This role requires proficiency in videography techniques, editing software, and a keen eye for storytelling to bring our vision to life through compelling visuals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the non-profit museum foundation marketing team to understand project requirements, objectives, and brand guidelines.
  • Plan and execute video shoots for various projects including but not limited to promotional videos, interviews, event coverage, and social media content.
  • Operate professional video equipment including cameras, lighting, audio recording devices, and accessories to capture high-quality footage.
  • Set up and adjust lighting, sound, and camera settings to achieve desired visual and audio effects.
  • Direct talent and participants during video shoots to ensure a cohesive and engaging narrative.
  • When appropriate, Capture B-roll footage and supplementary shots to enhance storytelling and visual appeal.
  • Edit and assemble raw footage using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Add graphics, animations, music, and other effects to enhance the overall quality and impact of the video content.
  • Ensure video content aligns with brand standards, messaging, and target audience preferences.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, actors, and crew members as needed to execute video projects and achieve desired results.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in videography and incorporate new techniques into projects.
  • Manage and organize video assets including raw footage, edited videos, and project files for easy access and retrieval.
  • Maintain video equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure proper functioning and maintenance of gear.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Provide creative input and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the overall video production process and storytelling strategy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Videographer with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of video projects and styles.
  • Proficiency in operating professional video cameras, audio recording equipment, lighting setups, and other videography gear.
  • Advanced knowledge of videography principles, techniques, and composition.
  • Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong understanding of video codecs, file formats, and compression techniques for web and digital distribution.
  • Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to convey ideas and messages effectively through visual storytelling.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for creating compelling video content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction and provide constructive feedback.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of copyright laws, licensing agreements, and intellectual property rights related to video production.
